Your Wanaka Homestay hosts
Your friendly hosts, Don a retired lawyer and Lorraine a special needs teacher, have travelled extensively and have lived in London and more recently Hong Kong. They really enjoyed the history and excitement of these big cities, especially the hustle and bustle, the noise, the smells and the chaos of Hong Kong. Despite the language difficulties they were impressed with the friendliness of the people and their attitude towards life. Don and Lorraine taught English in local Hong Kong Schools.
They enjoy the fellowship of Rotary with Don having served as District Governor for New Zealand's most southern district. This included the Wanaka area and Central Otago.
Don has been a keen trout fisherman for many years and says the peace, solitude and beauty the rivers and lake Wanaka offer, is just exquisite. His other interests are golf, photography, jazz and of course the local wines.
Golf clubs are available to guests of Aspiring Lofts B&B and Don is happy to provide guests with the benefit of his local fishing knowledge and expertise.
Lorraine's passions include design, reading and the movies. She has had a busy time designing the new guest accommodation as well as the contemporary Asian garden that has only recently been completed.
Don and Lorraine have extensive local knowledge to help you plan your days.
Your Wanaka homestay hosts look forward to welcoming you to Aspiring Lofts Bed and Breakfast.
